The solution provides a series of function-specific production modules designed for 24/7 production of metal additive components. Among them, the printer module (PTM) can print large quantities of seamless metal parts, while the removable printing module (RPM) and powder management module (PMM) can perform the production process. The integrated subtractive manufacturing module provides support processes for continuous production. Combined with first-class additive manufacturing materials and management and automation software, DMP Factory 500 can also grow into a metal digital factory as manufacturers demand increases.
DMP Factory 500 has both additive manufacturing and subtractive manufacturing functions. The patented new zero-point clamping system can fix the modeling substrate of the 3D printer in the best position, thus achieving a rapid transition from the 3D printer to the post-processing steps. This integration not only shortens setup time, but also increases flexibility and saves a lot of time and cost by quickly transitioning the modeled substrate from the additive manufacturing process and sending it to downstream post-processing steps. This modular approach enables continuous functionality: parts move between chambers with specific functions without having to go through multiple processes in a 3D printing chamber in sequence.

The large model volume (500x 500x 500 mm) combined with the use of multiple lasers enables rapid production.
3D Systems has developed a unique vacuum chamber for DMP Factory 500. This vacuum chamber improves component quality, process efficiency and reduces manufacturing costs. This vacuum chamber removes oxygen, water vapor, nitrogen, and other compounds from the modeling chamber, protects the composition of the compounds, and reduces the moisture in the LaserForm® metal alloy during the production process. Use argon to create a neutral environment. This process eliminates material waste by preventing the material from being exposed to oxygen, and reduces overall operating costs.
DMP Factory 500 consumes only a minimum amount of argon gas, combined with stable materials and printing processes to provide consistent, repeatable and seamless large metal parts.
