Xiangya Hospital of Central South University has earlier carried out related work of clinical application of 3D printing in China.In 2014, the increase of material manufacturing engineering research center of hunan province established xiangya clinical application research institute, xiangya hospital expert team in 3 d printing material, 3 d reconstruction software, manufacturing technology and equipment, the clinical application of technology, strengthening the transformation and application of collaborative research and promote the biological medicine, medical biomaterials computer software development and coordinated development of clinical medical technology.
The Expert Committee of 3D Printing Medical Application in the Medical Management Center of the National Health and Family Planning Commission was established in Changsha in May 2016.Professor Lei Guanghua, chief editor of 3D Printing Patent Navigation in biomedicine, served as the vice chairman of the special Committee, and Professor Li Xuejun served as the Secretary-General.In the same year, Xiangya Hospital participated in the project of “3D Printing Technology Integration and Application Research of Personalized Hard Tissue Reconstruction implanted Devices” (2016YFC1100605), a national key RESEARCH and development plan of the Ministry of Science and Technology during the 13th Five-Year Plan period. In 2018, Xiangya Hospital undertook the project of National Health Commission Medical Management Center “3D Printing Patent Investigation in Domestic Medical field”.In this process, the Xiangya team systematically studied the patent situation of 3D printing biomedical field in China, the United States, Europe and Japan, and gradually improved it into the main content of this book.
